Safety Plan Box

Use your safety plan box : everyone should have a safety plan. It should be a shoebox filled with pictures, lyrics, poems, books, CD's, and movies that remind you how much you are worth and how deserving of life you are. Put this box where you keep your "tools of the trade". Where you stash your drugs, your knives and razors, even your refrigerator (if you are an emotional eater). If you do that, then you will absolutely find yourself rummaging through when you are feeling at your lowest of lows. It's amazing how quick a picture of your best friend, a song about how everything is going to be alright, or even a pressed rose will do for you when you are at the end of your rope. It will help remind you that there is always someone there to catch you.
